A Tulsa man wants justice after he said a man stole his truck with his dogs inside, then killed the dogs and dumped them.
Surveillance video at the store near 12th and Sheridan, shows the suspected thief hop in David Brach’s truck and drive away. A few hours later, the 3 dogs that were in the truck were found dead.
"He could have just kicked the dogs out and not killed them,” said David Brach, the owner of the truck and dogs.
David Brach said he and his family are heartbroken. Brach said he took his 4-year-old son and 3 dogs with for a quick run to the store.
While he was inside, surveillance video showed a man walk past the truck, stop, look back, then he hopped in the truck and drove away.
"I left it running and my dogs bark at everything walking by or anything close so I never thought anyone would try to take it with them in there,” said Brach.
Brach said when he walked out, he was in shock. He said he posted about it on Facebook and asked for help.
What he really cared about most was finding his dogs. He got a call a few hours later that they were found in neighborhood, dead.
"They were killed and then dumped," said Brach. "It's pretty tough. It's really tough."
Brach said all three of his dogs had cuts, scrapes, and blood on them.
He said these dogs were part of their family, and they hope the man is found and he pays.
"I don't know if they will find him, but Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is doing everything they can to find them,” said Brach. “It's so overwhelming but the support we've gotten is overwhelming a well."
Brach said police found his truck and trailer this morning. He said the Oklahoma Alliance for Animals is offering a $2,000 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
