Get your green on! St. Patrick's Day celebrations are going on across Tulsa.
The Kilkenny's Block Party is back for the first time in two years. Organizers say they went above and beyond to make it special to celebrate the warmer weather and people coming together for St. Patrick's Day. Decked out in green attire, people lined Cherry Street in a sea of green with their families, friends, and pets for the block party.
There are several stages for live music performances throughout the day along with Irish dancers. The event is family-friendly with an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, and a photo booth. Local vendors are set up for people to shop for unique items. It's a double celebration for Kilkenny's, which is also celebrating its 20th anniversary.
"We've got a lot of people coming out simply because the last couple years and the last couple weeks, it's been too cold and too much pandemic to be able to come out and do things. So, we're hoping to have big crowd and have a grand old time,” said Danny Williams, event organizer and Executive Vice President of Watershed.
The Kilkenny's Block Party is going on until 11 p.m.
Over in downtown, St. Patrick's Day events are happening at McNellie’s and Arnie's Bar.
