The Oklahoma City Thunder hosted a basketball camp on Tuesday in Tulsa.
Thunder Youth Basketball Hustle Camps are happening across the region this summer.
Kids get to learn skills, then see the pros in action at a game this year.
From passing, to dribbling, to shooting hoops, kids got to make memories on the court.
Vice President of Mission Advancement for YMCA Tulsa Kyle Wilkes said the camp not only strengthens kids’ physical abilities, but also their social skills, since they get to practice teamwork.
"We got kids who are focused on skill development, in addition to working with experienced coaches to be help support them in their development, focus on friendly-competition, and the opportunity to really work on those social skills as well the past couple of years, to bring everybody back together,” Wilkes said.
The camp focuses on techniques and drills to improve skills in defense, ball-handling, shooting, and layups.
Each kid takes home a t-shirt, basketball, and a ticket to a Thunder game.
"It's exciting to hear the kids, their laughter. The look on their face whenever they find success, the look on their face when their friends find success. And just a great opportunity for us to come together today to focus on basketball,” Wilkes said.
If you missed this one, another Thunder camp will be at the Hutcherson Family YMCA in two weeks.
