The City of Sapulpa is starting to see a lot of growth, especially in the downtown area. Just in the last month, the Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce organized four ribbon cuttings for new businesses in the downtown area.
Janet Birnie, the Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce President, said that Sapulpa has been working very diligently to make the city as exciting and welcoming for new businesses as possible. Birnie said that with several projects completed, excitement in Sapulpa is growing.
"I think the excitement, it’s just been building, and people know that the city is on board with being progressive. They want this town to grow and succeed and thrive, and that’s what seems to be happening. It’s kind of like activity breeds activity," Birnie said.
With all of the activity, people are continuing to buy buildings in Sapulpa. As more businesses arrive, the sales tax revenue for the city is only going to increase, which will provide necessary funding for things like the fire and police departments.
Overall, Birnie said that it's an exciting time to be in Sapulpa.
"There’s this energy and a real buzz about this town, and people really are excited to be here and have a lot of pride in their town now. So it just means a lot to our town to have these new businesses pop up," Birnie said.
