Seriously Ill Child Wishes To Meet Travis Meyer

We had a very special visitor at News On 6 on Wednesday.

His name is Gunner and he has EB, which is a very serious illness. When his mom asked him, if he could meet anyone in the world, who would he want it to be, Gunner said Travis Meyer.

Gunner got to do more than just meet with Travis, he became a part of the team.

He got a ride to the station in Von Castor’s weather truck and then went to lunch with Travis, followed by cake and presents in the newsroom.

Gunner also got to do a weather forecast alongside Travis.

Gunner has a rare genetic skin condition called  Epidermolysis Bullosa, and it is very painful to him - but he never lets it slow him down. He and his family would like to raise awareness of the disease. You can learn more about EB here.
