Stolen BMW Crashes Into Broken Arrow Home

Broken Arrow Police say a stolen BMW crashed into a home during a pursuit Thursday morning.

It happened near Kenosha and Kenwood, about a block east of Main.

Police said just after 9:00 Thursday morning, officers were called to a burglary in the 2200 block of North 2nd Place. The called said they saw an unknown woman was seen leaving the home.

When police responded, the suspect vehicle sped away from the scene. The license plate number was given to a 911 operator and it was confirmed the vehicle was stolen from an unrelated burglary.

A Broken Arrow police officer spotted the stolen vehicle - a black BMW sedan - speeding in the 900 block of East Hillside Drive. Police said the officer wasn't able to initiate a traffic stop but relayed the information to incoming officers.

The vehicle was again spotted in the 2300 block of East Kenosha.

Officers tried to stop the BMW and chase began for about a mile-and-a-half until the suspect vehicle lost control and crashed into a house in the 1100 block of North Kenwood Drive.

The house was damaged but no one inside was injured.

Homeowner Holly Doshier said, ""That's always been a fear because you see it on the news all the time...a car crashes through somebody's house and living right here, people fly down this street."

Police said the driver of the suspect vehicle, 34-year-old Dustin Yahola, was ejected and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger, 40-year-old Jennifer Brown, was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
