Governor Kevin Stitt said Oklahoma is well on its way to phase 2 of reopening in less than 10 days.
But in order for that to happen, he said people need to continue to practice physical distancing.
Phase 2 of reopening would mean bars could reopen, and events like weddings, funerals, and sports could resume.
The governor said Oklahoma is ranked 8th lowest in the nation for positive cases per capita, but Stitt believes we still need to be on alert.
"Just because we're in good shape, and the data continues to trend in our favor does not mean we can take our foot off the gas," Governor Stitt said.
Stitt encouraged everyone to get tested.
He hopes to have 90,000 Oklahomans tested by the end of the month.
