Owasso Eagle Scout Builds Flag Drop Box For VFW

The City of Owasso has a new flag drop box thanks to a local scout.

Kobie Chapman from the Owasso Troop 2002 created the drop box as part of his Eagle Scout Project. Chapman says the local VFW told him they were constantly getting flags dropped off, so he decided to create a place where people could drop off their old or torn flags.

"And all the people who have those flags like in the garage for how many years they can go over there and drop them so we can retire them properly," said Chapman

Every branch of the military is displayed on the drop box. You can find it outside the Owasso Community Center.
