1 Dead Following Sapulpa House Fire

The Sapulpa fire department responded to a house fire on early Sunday morning that has left one person dead.

According to officials, a husband and wife were inside of the home at the time of the fire and only one was able to make it out.

The husband, who has not yet been identified, was able to escape and is currently in the hospital receiving treatment for burns. His wife was not able to escape the blaze.

Officials said that a neighbor tried to save her but arrived at the scene too late.

The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
