Tall Chief Cove On Skiatook Lake Closed Due To Elevated Bacterial levels

The Tulsa Corp of Army Engineers has closed the swim beach at Tall Chief Cove on Skiatook Lake due to elevated bacterial levels.

Officials say the move was made out of an abundance of caution while they wait for test results to come back.

According to officials, the beach will reopen once test results show the water quality is acceptable.

The lake, boat ramps and other swim beaches on Skiatook are still open.
