Del City Police Investigating Apparent Murder-Suicide Involving Active Duty Military Member

Del City police are investigating after a man and woman were found dead in an apparent murder-suicide.

Police responded to a welfare check in the 4700 block of Loch Lane near SE 44th and Sooner Road.

The man was active duty military at Tinker Air Force Base.

Police said the man and woman appeared to be involved in a relationship.

The man was identified as 23-year-old Aaron Butler and the woman was identified as 22-year-old Trisha Fernandez.

"It appears at this time that the male party shot the female and then turned the gun on himself," Del City police Maj. Bradley Rule said.

Del City police are investigating the incident.
