Fire Destroys Tulsa Home; Cause Under Investigation

A fire destroyed a Tulsa home near 81st and Delaware late Friday afternoon.

Tulsa firefighters have put out the blaze at a large duplex near Oral Roberts University, and now the work is to figure out what caused it.

Firefighters said when they arrived, there was heavy smoke coming out of the house, but as soon as they went inside to start putting it out, it erupted into flames.

They said the two families were both here at the time of the fire and were able to get out safely.

Firefighters are not sure what caused it but said they’re grateful everybody got out.
