Man Convicted On 2 Counts Related To Body Found At Chandler Park

A man was found guilty on multiple counts Thursday after his involvement in the 2021 murder of a 54-year-old woman.

Nicholas McCarty was convicted of first-degree murder as well as a second count of unlawful movement of the body of Keli Gilbert.

Tulsa County deputies said McCarty and another person put Gilbert's body in the trunk of McCarty's car, drove to Chandler Park, stripped off her clothes and pushed her down a hill.

The murder conviction's sentence is life without parole. The unlawful moving of a body sentence also carries a life sentence.
