The Tinker Air Force Base is putting COVID-19 protocols into place due to the rise of cases.

The Tinker Air Force Base is putting COVID-19 protocols into place due to the rise in cases.

The base said that all service members, Federal employees, onsite contractor employees and visitors must wear a mask indoors on installations and in other facilities owned, leased or controlled by the Department of Defense. 

All unit commanders must obtain a risk assessment from the Under Secretary of the Air Force before holding any gathering with more than 49 people, according to the base.

Non-fully-vaccinated employees must bring a negative COVID-19 test that was performed within 72 hours before the shift, according to the Air Force base.

Entry for employees will be valid for seven days from the date of the test, but testing with take place on Monday, or at the unit commander’s convenience.
