A woman who was in a serious wreck on the Broken Arrow Expressway was able to find the Good Samaritan who pulled her out of her car while she was hanging upside down.
Grace Kifer said right after the wreck, she thought she was alone. But she quickly realized someone was there to help her. Afterwards, she wanted to track him down.
Grace said she saw someone speeding next to her in her mirror, they then swerved and overcorrected, crashing into her.
"I remember saying out loud, 'no, no, no,' as I saw it coming, it happened so quickly that it's hard to articulate how frightening it was," Grace said.
Grace said her car flipped twice, and she was terrified as she was waiting there, hanging upside down.
"It was dark, and it was smoky, and it was dusty and loud, my airbags had gone off and so I couldn't see anything out of my windows," Grace said.
She said all of a sudden she heard someone yelling, asking if she was okay.
He said his name was John and he pulled her out of her car and took her to a group of people waiting for help to arrive.
"I know that he didn't save my life, other than being injured I was fine, but it felt like my life was being saved," she said.
Grace had a concussion, sprained ankle, bruised ribs and a bruised tailbone.
She said once the ambulance got there, John left, and she wanted to find him. She said she needed him to know the impact his kindness had on her.
"I need him to know how important that was to me. I really thought I was alone, and hearing somebody say, 'are you okay,' and making me realize I wasn't alone in the most frightening moment in my life was incredible," she said.
She said what John did was a reminder to her that there is good in the world, and she just wanted to say thank you.
"It was not just a good deed, it was a fantastic deed. He did a good thing," she said.
A friend of John's saw this story posted on News On 6 and passed along Grace's information. John was able to get in touch with Grace, and she was able to say thank you.
