Rogers State University Honors Alumni Lost In War With Wreath-Laying Ceremony

This Memorial Day, Rogers State University is honoring alumni that were killed in military action.

The university held a wreath-laying ceremony at a monument on campus of the former Oklahoma Military Academy.

Master sergeant Dewey Wilson says the ceremony is extra-special due to his connection with some of those lost.

"It does have real meaning to me because a lot of those fellows or some of the fellows on the Vietnam side of the memorial, I knew I went to school with up here," said master sergeant Wilson.

Wilson says he hopes this ceremony will continue to be a tradition at RSU going forward.
