News On 6's Tess Maune stopped in to read with second graders in Mrs. Mann’s class at Roosa Elementary in Claremore. This was part of a fundraiser for the school’s PTO, which is raising money for phase two of Roosa’s playground.

It’s the season of Christmas lights, movies and, of course books. News On 6's Tess Maune stopped in to read with second graders in Mrs. Mann’s class at Roosa Elementary in Claremore.

Tess said all of the kids were so smart, polite, and fun. They took some silly pictures and read "The Not Very Merry Pout-Pout Fish."

This was part of a fundraiser for the school’s PTO, which is raising money for phase two of Roosa’s playground.

Next weekend, on Saturday, December 16, the PTO is hosting a PJs and Pancakes at the school cafeteria from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with pancakes and famous Patsy's hot chocolate.

There will also be lots of fun activities like ornament making, a letters to Santa Station, plus a visit from Santa himself.
