No suspicious devices or danger was found after police responded to a report of a bomb threat at East Central High School in Tulsa, officers said.
The call came in around 11 a.m. on Thursday, police said. TPS worked with officers to handle the situation, police said.
The school said it treats every alleged threat as credible until authorities can determine the area is safe.
East Central released the following statement to parents on Thursday morning:
We received a threatening phone call this morning naming our school. We treat every alleged threat as credible until we have fully determined otherwise. We have placed the building on lockdown while law enforcement investigates. Tulsa Public Schools Campus Police and Tulsa Police Department are on the scene to sweep the building. We always err on the side of keeping our students and school community safe.
