Description
We're happy to welcome back Stacey Jones from the OSU Extension showing us how to do some Spicy Bacon Deviled Eggs.
Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 1/3 cup of Mayonnaise
- 2 TBSP of pickle relish
- 1 TBSP of yellow or stone-ground mustard
- 1 TBSP of vinegar or pickle juice
- 1 TBSP of gochujang or sriracha
- 1/4 tsp salt
- ¼ ground pepper
- 2 slices of cooked bacon diced
Instructions
- Step 1: Put the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Bring to a boil, cover the pot with a lid, and then let them set in the hot water for 10 minutes. Take the eggs out of the hot water and put them in an ice bath. Let eggs sit in the ice bath for 5 minutes.
- Step 2: Peel the shell off the egg. Slice the eggs in half vertically. Take the yolks out of the eggs and put them into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Step 3: Add the mayonnaise, relish, mustard, vinegar, spicy sauce, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the egg yolks and mix well.
- Step 4: Take the egg mixture and add it back to the whites of the eggs.
- Step 5: Top with the diced bacon and refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
