Man Struck, Killed By MetroLink Bus Near 3rd And Denver In Tulsa

A man is dead after being hit by a bus in Tulsa Monday night, according to police.

Tulsa Police said the man, who has not yet been identified, was lying in the road around 7 p.m. near 3rd St. and Denver Ave. when he was hit and killed.

TPD said a truck swerved to miss him and a MetroLink bus behind the truck, fatally struck the man.

Authorities said the bus left the scene and was found by TPD officers at 41st West Ave. and Edison.

Security footage from the bus was investigated and officers said several witnesses at the scene helped find the bus involved.

Police said it's too soon to tell why the bus driver did not stay on the scene of the crash.
