Fire near El Reno Airport spreads to multiple vehicles, injures one

A person is injured after a fire spread through several vehicles near the El Reno Airport, according to El Reno Police.

Police say fire crews responded to a report of a vehicle fire at a well site, where they found three to four semi-trucks engulfed in flames. They say the fire spread to about 10 to 15 other vehicles but did not appear to damage any well-head equipment.

Authorities say the well was already shut down before firefighters arrived

The El Reno Airport runway was temporarily closed due to heavy smoke but has since reopened.

Police say the victim's injuries were minor.
