For the third time in the history of the program, the OU softball team is National Champions after taking down Auburn 2-1 in the decisive Game 3 of the WCWS Championship Series. 

With the score tied In the bottom of the eighth innings, Auburn's Emily Carosone hit a walk-off grand slam to beat Oklahoma and force a decisive Game 3 for the National Championship on Wednesday.  

Emily Carosone's grand slam in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted Auburn to a stunning 11-7 victory over Oklahoma on Tuesday night to force a deciding Game 3 for the NCAA softball championship.

The Oklahoma softball team was able to hold off a late-game rally by Auburn to secure a 3-2 win and take a 1-0 lead in the Championship Series of the WCWS. 

The Oklahoma Softball team is headed back to the Women's College World Series championship series after a 7-3 win over No. 10 LSU in the semfinals on Sunday night.

OU freshman Shay Knighten hit a three-run walk off home run in the eighth inning to lift the Sooners past Alabama in the opening round of the Women's College World Series. 

Friday night saw OU jump on WSU with a five-run first as the Sooners won their Regional opener. Saturday, it was a hot second inning that pushed OU to the Regional final after a 9-1 win over Ole Miss. 

OU softball tied a program record with eight players named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division I All-Central Region Team, including five first-team honorees.
