12 Native American Oklahomans eligible for special Medal of Honor Review

More than 100 years after their service, a dozen Oklahomans who fought in WWI are eligible for the Valor Medals Review. Congress passed this act back in 2018 to determine if there are service members who were overlooked for the Medal of Honor due to race. Native Americans are included in this review, and as News On 6’s Katie Eastman found, it’s taken years of digging to discover who these soldiers are.
