The FBI has "grave concerns" about releasing a controversial, classified memo created by GOP staffers on the House Intelligence Committee. 

Congress is now only hours away before the government could shut down. The House passed a short-term spending bill Thursday night, but the bill lacks enough votes to pass in the Senate.

The House on Wednesday approved the GOP tax plan -- for a second time -- with President Trump's desk as its next and final stop. Lawmakers approved the bill in a 224-201, a day after they approved it a first time. Due to procedural issues that arose in the Senate a day earlier, the House had to vote a second time.

The House will revote on the bill it passed to much fanfare Tuesday afternoon, fearing procedural violations in the version it already passed.

The Washington Post, citing an analyst, reports the Trump administration is prohibiting officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from using a list of words, including "fetus" and "diversity," in any documents used for prepping next year's budget.

House and Senate Republicans on Friday released the final text of their legislative agreement on taxes, after negotiators from both chambers worked out the differences between their two bills.
