Tulsa Hosts 'Beat The Heat' World Finals Drag Racing Saturday

Police officers and firefighters who double as drag racers are in town for a special event. The Beat the Heat world finals are at the Tulsa Raceway Park on Saturday.

Police officers and firefighters who double as drag racers are in town for a special event. The Beat the Heat world finals are at the Tulsa Raceway Park on Saturday.

Racers are cops and firefighters who drag race in marked cars to help educate kids. Over 60 teams are expected in Tulsa for the championship race.

Teams will compete for the Top Cop title.

There will be a car show and school display Thursday. On Friday evening the teams will go to Tulsa Raceway Park for a test and tune.

The race costs $10 for spectators. Kids under 12 are free.
