JENKS, Oklahoma -- Jenks High School was put on lockdown Monday afternoon while police searched for two burglary suspects in the area, a spokeswoman for the district said.
Tara Thompson said police told the district they were looking for two burglary suspects who were armed with guns in the area near 91st and Birch, near the girls soccer field.
Thompson said the high school was put on lockdown just before 3 p.m. as a precautionary measure and that students were being held until the district was given an "all clear" sign from police.
The lockdown was lifted about 4:30 Monday afternoon.
Police are still looking for the suspects.
