FORT SUPPLY, Oklahoma -- Authorities captured an escaped convict Wednesday morning who was considered armed and dangerous.
Police caught Terry Storey near a Walmart in Woodward. An alert citizen called 911 after seeing Storey walking in the area.
When police arrived, Storey ran into a field. Officers chased and tasered him when he resisted arrest.
Storey broke out of the William S. Key Correctional Facility in Fort Supply Tuesday, November 23. When guards conducted a head count around 8 p.m., they realized an inmate was missing. A second count confirmed Storey had escaped. Officials didn't say how he managed to get out of the northwestern Oklahoma prison.
The 31-year-old was convicted in Sequoyah County of DUI, possession of a controlled substance and cultivation of a controlled substance.
