Sarah Roe, also known as the Money Saving Queen, partnered with News On 6 in Tulsa and News 9 in Oklahoma City in 2009. You can tune in for her money saving tips up to 13 times a week.
Roe is the mom of two beautiful boys, Elisha and Ethan and is married to husband, Eric. She began seriously couponing five years ago when her oldest son was diagnosed with life-threatening food allergies. After undergoing months of testing, it was discovered that her son had multiple food allergies to basic foods such as chicken, turkey, milk, egg, peanut, soy and more. Roe and her husband were spending 600 to 800 dollars a month trying to feed their son alone. As the medical bills began to pile up, Roe's husband worked two jobs and went to school while she remained at home with their son. Financially, they just could not do it anymore. Although Roe grew up in a frugal family, learning the ins and outs of saving money and earning extra cash, it was a couponing book at the library that changed her life.
Roe has since mastered the technique of couponing and has many, many tips that will successfully cut your grocery bill by 80%. Along with the release of a new book, "The Power of Coupons: 13 Ways to Save," she also teaches workshops throughout Oklahoma and surrounding areas. Helping to change lives, these workshops aim to save families thousands of dollars a year.
Roe has been featured in numerous magazines and newspapers both in Oklahoma and nationwide, including in an article for Kidswithfoodallergies.org as well as in Enjoying Everyday Life Magazine. She contributes to Community Spirit Magazine, writing a monthly money saving column. Roe was also featured in a Joyce Meyer Enjoying Everyday Life broadcast on February 25, 2010. She was recognized with a 2009 Communicator Award in blog-cultural as well as a 2010 Tulsey Award.
