ALEX, Oklahoma -- Three wildfires broke out in Grady County near Alex Tuesday afternoon, and fire officials said they believe two of them were intentionally set.
The first fire was accidentally sparked around 2 p.m. by a REC Electrical crew that was working in the area. That fire burned for about a mile from north of Alex to south of Naples.
About an hour later, two other fires popped up in the area. Fire officials said a vehicle was spotted in the area around the time the fires were started. Authorities are now looking for a late 80s to 90s model four-door white vehicle, possibly a flatbed Chevrolet or Ford pickup, with two people inside.
At least two homes were threatened by the blazes, but none were damaged. Fire Chief Perry Wenzel said a hay barn was damaged.
Close to 50 acres burned Tuesday, but fire crews were able to get the fires mostly under control by 5 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
