Several players from state schools did not make the NFL’s final round of roster cuts on Saturday.
Sept. 4 is the deadline for teams to trim their rosters from 75 to 53 players, meaning plenty of hopeful players are sent home in the process.
Among those cut on Saturday was former Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson, who was drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 draft by the New England Patriots
The Chicago Bears released former OU wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias, who averaged 21.3 yards on four catches in the preaseason, including one touchdown.
Former Sooners tight end Joe Jon Finley and linebacker Mike Balogun were released from the San Francisco 49ers.
Players can still be invited back to be on the teams’ practice squads.
