OKLAHOMA CITY -- Fifty-two Oklahoma counties are currently under a burn ban.

With most of the state reaching temps of 100 or more, authorities say most of the state is very dry and there is little chance in the forecast for rain.

Several counties announced Monday they were banning outdoor fires of any kind for the next thirty days.

Tulsa County is currently not under a burn ban.

Under a burn ban issued by the counties, any person convicted of violating the burn ban is subject of a fine of not more than $500 and one year in the county jail or both.
