The competition featured top ranked high school bands from across the country. Band members arrived home Sunday night to a warm welcome.
"You're sitting there and your hearts racing,' because they always of course dramatize it up, and make sure there's a long pause before they announce first," said Matthew Aschkenas, drum major.
Broken Arrow took 1st, Union High School 6th and Owasso High School 7th, respectively.
This is the first time that 3 Oklahoma high school marching bands advanced to the prestigious top 12 finals competition.
