More than 2,000 Tulsa County residents were without power Monday evening, according to Public Service Company of Oklahoma. Power was restored around 8 p.m.

Shopping centers and homes in the area were completely dark. Some businesses were closed, but  a few had generators and remained open.

A PSO spokesperson says the outage was caused by a problem at a substation at 36th and Pittsburgh.
