Judge Tammy Bass-LeSure Submits Resignation To Governor

An embattled Oklahoma district judge tendered her resignation Friday afternoon. 

Judge Tammy Bass-LeSure submitted her resignation to Governor Mary Fallin effective March 1, 2012.

Bass-LeSure is accused of giving twins to her bailiff's sister and of lying on adoption records.

She is facing over 30 felony counts of fraud, conspiracy and perjury.

Testimony was interrupted in her preliminary hearing last month so that plea negotiations could be conducted.

Bass-LeSure is the district judge of the Seventh Judicial District and has served for 13 years.

Her arraignment has been set for March 2.
