Oklahoma's Attorney General Scott Pruitt is asking the Oklahoma Court of Criminal Appeals to set an execution date for a man convicted of killing a Tulsa convenience store clerk in 1976.

Michael Selsor, 57, was convicted in the shooting death of Clayton Chandler, but the US Supreme Court ruled the state's death penalty unconstitutional.

Selsor's sentenced was changed to life in prison without parole, but that conviction was overturned in 1996.

In 1998, a Tulsa County District Court jury convicted Selsor of first degree murder and he was sentenced to death again.

The U.S. Supreme Court denied Selsor's final appeal on Tuesday.
