From The KOTV Vault: Tulsans Gather For 1980 Raft Race Parade

For years one of the biggest public events in northeast Oklahoma was The Great River Raft Race on the Arkansas River.

Sponsored by KRMG, it drew hundreds of contestants and tens of thousands of spectators to the river every Labor Day holiday.  Part of its charm was the parade of rafts held on the Saturday leading up to the race.
