Once again it's time for the annual Bedlam baseball battle on the diamond.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will take the field for the three-game series Friday in Tulsa and again on Saturday and Sunday in Oklahoma City.
This year, the Cowboys sit at No. 25 while Oklahoma is one spot behind at No. 26.
OU has won 11 of the last 14 games against Oklahoma State.
The Cowboys (26-17, 11-7) enter the series on a season-long eight-game winning streak and are tied for third in the Big 12 Conference. They swept Texas Tech and Kansas State the last two weekends.
On the other hand, the Sooners (29-17, 9-8) won both games against its last Big 12 foe Kansas and are fourth place in the conference entering the Bedlam series.
The Cowboys, paced by Robbie Rea and Trey Whaley, are hitting .273 as a team, while the pitching staff sports a 2.89 ERA.
The Sooners are hitting .273 and own a 3.78 ERA. In conference games, OU is hitting .267 and has a collective 3.85 ERA.
Last year, the Cowboys were victorious in the Bedlam series picking up wins in the series opener and finale.
First pitch for Friday's game is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. at ONEOK field in downtown Tulsa. The teams travel to Oklahoma City for another 7:07 game on Saturday and an afternoon game Sunday at 4:07 p.m. at the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
