McAlester Prison Escapee Sought In Oklahoma, Missouri

Authorities are searching for an escapee from the Jackie Brannon Correctional Center in McAlester after he was reported missing at Friday's 8:30 a.m. head count.

Alvin Boyer, 27, of Joplin, Missouri, is considered armed and dangerous.

He is serving several prison sentences out of Ottawa County for drug violations and jumping bail.

According to prison records, Boyer was set to be released in November 2018.

Prison officials say they are looking for Boyer in both the McAlester and Joplin areas.

Boyer is a white male, 5-foot-10 inches tall, 160 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. He also sports a number of tattoos on his chest, arms, face and neck.
