The Oral Roberts women's soccer team beat Central Arkansas Friday 2-1 in a close double-overtime win.
Megan Giles picked up her sixth and seventh assists of the season, including the set up for the game-winning goal.
After the home team put in the tying goal in the 82nd minute off the foot off Kristin Pollard, and an uneventful first overtime period that featured just one shot, Giles set up the game-winner for Allison Hall. Taking the pass from Giles, Hall booted the ball from about 12 yards out to close the contest.
It was Hall's third goal of the season.
Friday's contest was the last of the regular season, as the Golden Eagles closed their first Southland Conference schedule with a 5-3 record and 11-6-2 overall.
ORU goes into the conference tournament ranked fourth. They will face fifth seeded Sam Houston State Thursday in Lake Charles, La.
The Golden Eagle victory marks the most wins for the program since the 2004 season, when they finished 14-6-1. ORU's record in overtime matches moves to 5-2-2.
