Craig Day went out recently to take a look some of the great fall foliage in Eastern Oklahoma.
See the beautiful footage in the video above.
There's a curvy road - Highway 20 - between Owasso and Claremore. It's just one of the many back roads filled with fall colors right now.
There's also a lot of beauty around Oologah Lake.
Every year, plenty of people travel around to see the beauty this time of year in Oklahoma has to offer.
"I think it's just the colors, all the awesome colors, to see all the creation we have around us, lots of different colors, and lots of people like and enjoy those," said Lee Perry, of the U.S. Corps of Engineers.
We're passed peak viewing in some parts of Oklahoma, but you can get the latest reports on fall foliage and festivals from the state tourism department.
Craig Day anchors the 5, 6 & 10 o’clock newscasts at News On 6. He’s an Emmy and national Edward R. Murrow award winner, whose work has also been recognized with awards by several other journalism groups, including the Oklahoma Society of Professional Journalism, Oklahoma Associated Press, and broadcasting associations in Louisiana and Texas, including reporter and story of the year when he worked in Shreveport, Louisiana.
