There are new developments involving a vote by the Tulsa County Fair Board to end live horse racing at Fair Meadows.

The Board has a meeting next week where there could be a reconsideration of that decision.

A spokesman for the Tulsa County Commissioners said, on the advice of their attorneys, there would be no comment until an agenda is posted for the meeting, set for next Thursday morning.

The Tulsa County Public Facilities Authority (TCPFA), in a deal with the Creek Nation for naming rights at Expo Square, also agreed to end live horse racing at Fair Meadows.

That announcement was met with criticism from Oklahoma's two horsemen trade groups.

Also, State Representative Don Armes asked the Attorney General to look into the legality of the deal.
