The family of an Oklahoma County inmate who died in custody this week spoke out, Wednesday, all while more information is revealed about the man who died.
There are still a lot of questions about what happened to Artie Hale, who died up on the 10th floor of the county jail Monday night. And now the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) is looking into exactly what happened.
OSBI agents are continuing to collect evidence, including interviews with potential witnesses. Agents haven't specified where on the 10th floor Hale was found injured, but say by the time emergency workers got to him, he was dead.
Although they're investigating this as a potential homicide, investigators won't say whether or not anyone else was with him. They only say he suffered significant trauma to his body that is consistent with homicide.

Hales was put in jail more than a week ago for numerous misdemeanors including littering, disorderly conduct and failure to appear.
“He was never violent. I have four brothers and that was the brother that was never confrontational. He was just kind of an easy-going, laid back guy. He did not fuss. He did not fight. He was not confrontational,” said
I spoke with Hale's family today who say he suffered from paranoid schizophrenia. They say he was honorably discharged from the Marines and was never violent or confrontational to their knowledge. We'll hear more from Hale's family coming up at 6 o'clock.
The State Medical Examiner's office has not officially ruled on Hale's cause and manner of death.
