After interviewing Dr. W. Scott Harrington Friday, the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry has announced it will wait until August to decide whether he will keep his license.
This comes two weeks after the dental board called him a "menace to public health," citing "unsafe and unsanitary" practices in his Tulsa and Owasso offices. The board said he may have exposed 7,000 patients to infectious diseases, including HIV and hepatitis.
Harrington voluntarily agreed to suspend his license and waived his right to a hearing on a temporary suspension.
The full hearing to consider whether his license will be revoked is now scheduled for August 16, 2013, in Oklahoma City. The dental board said it doesn't yet have enough facts for a full hearing.
