Police in Moore are now investigating allegations of abuse at an elementary school. A teacher at Southgate Rippetoe Elementary is accused of abusing special needs students under her care.

News 9 spoke with a parent whose daughter is in the teacher’s class. The mother does not want to be identified, but tells News 9, she was told by another adult in the classroom the abuse was quite serious.

The allegations include young students being dropped on their heads and slapped. One in a wheelchair was allegedly pushed into a wall, according to the parent.

“Her license needs to be taken away. We just want something done. We don’t want her to be able to work with kids anymore,” the parent tells News 9.

Moore Public Schools says after its own investigation, the Southgate Ripppetoe teacher resigned.

The Moore Police Department just got the case, and will decide if the teacher should face criminal charges.
