Tulsans held a candlelight vigil in memory of Trayvon Martin Tuesday night.

They gathered in Reconciliation Park in the Brady District. Organizers said they just wanted people who are struggling with the verdict to have a place to come together and start the healing process.

Participants shared music and poetry.

"Even though that happened in Sanford, we know that that experience and that story is all too familiar for all too many parents who worry about whether their kids are going to come home safe that night," said Mana Tahaie, with the Tulsa YWCA.

The YWCA says the case and feelings it triggered are really complex and it's not good to try and cope alone.
