New surveillance video gives a different perspective to the El Reno tornado. The camera was mounted on the Shell gas station at I-40 and Banner Road. The store suffered heavy damage in the tornado.
The video camera was facing the southwest and shows a rare view of tornado as it heads right toward the Banner Shell station.

"It just looked like fingers, so I figured it was the devil up there trying to grab everybody, just ripping up everybody's house," said Banner Shell owner Ron Ulloa.
News 9 Chief Meteorologist David Payne says inside the massive, nearly three-mile wide tornado, were countless extremely fast moving vortices.

"They would form on this side and wrap around, some would even form on this side and wrap around," Payne explained.
The video stops when the store lost electricity around 6:21 p.m. But the massive storm would keep coming. Employees fled to a nearby storm shelter before the tornado hit.
"When we got to the store the whole roof was gone," Ulloa said.
On Monday, nearly four months later, crews still work to repair power lines behind the store. And although open, Banner Shell still shows clear signs of what came through here.
