Starting this weekend, you have the chance to adopt a little angel needing some holiday cheer through the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.

LeAnne Taylor and Rich Lenz, 6 in the Morning anchors, helped kick off the event at Woodland Hills Mall.

Every year, thousands of Angel Tree tags cover the Christmas trees at Woodland Hills and Promenade Mall. Each tag holds the Christmas wish list of someone who needs your help to have something under the tree come Christmas morning.

"We're over 9,000 this year in angels, that can be senior angels and junior angels combined and that's for the whole area," said April Taylor of the Salvation Arm.

To adopt an angel, all you have to do is pick up a tag at either mall through December 13th.
