Residents in parts of Oklahoma saw snow as a winter storm moved across the state Sunday morning. The weather is expected to clear briefly before another system with snow and possibly freezing rain moves across both states starting late Monday.

A winter storm warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. for several counties, including Caddo County, Cleveland County, Garvin County and more.
Several counties, including Oklahoma County and Logan County, are under a winter storm advisory until 6 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued an ice storm warning for far southeastern Oklahoma, a winter storm warning from Oklahoma to Arkansas and winter weather advisories in much of the two states on Sunday.
Road Conditions
According to the Department of Public Safety, as of 10:30 a.m., roads were being reported as slick and hazardous in southwestern, central and southeastern Oklahoma. Crews treated roadways with salt and sand. Travel is highly discouraged in theses areas. If you must drive, use extreme caution.
In northwestern Oklahoma, roads are reported to be slick in spots. Crews are treating roadways as needed. Drivers need to remain cautious in this area.
During snow and/or ice conditions, motorists need to:
• Check road conditions before getting out on the roads.
• Be aware of "black ice," which looks wet on the roadway, but is actually a thin layer of ice.
• Stay at least 200 feet behind road-clearing equipment; crews need room to maneuver and can engage plowing or spreading materials without notice.
If drivers must travel out of state, they are urged to check area road conditions before heading out.
