Several hilly areas in South Tulsa caused problems for drivers Sunday - including some problem areas police tried to block off.

Drivers Struggle On Tulsa Hills During Snow Storm

Snow packed hills in South Tulsa caused a lot of trouble for drivers. You could see them sliding all over the place near 61st and Sheridan on Sunday.

Tulsa police say another trouble spot is Yale between 81st and 91st. So many vehicles also got stuck on 111th between Sheridan and Memorial, officers had to close the road for hours.

"If there's a potential for injury, whether it's a vehicle colliding or maybe someone walking or being injured," then we'll say hey we need to shut this road until we can get some sand or salt trucks here."

Police say no matter how bad the weather is, people still get out, so be careful.
