Cherokee Nation To Build New Casino Near Kansas State Line

The Cherokee Nation announced plans Thursday to build a new casino near the Kansas-Oklahoma state line in northern Nowata County.

Construction bids for the South Coffeyville casino go out next week and the tribe said the building could be finished by the end of summer.

It will employ about 100 people. 

The site is located just off Highway 169.
